Prayer Under Spiritual Attack

Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You in this hour of trial. Whatever its source — my own weakness, the pressure of the world, temptation, or the malice of the enemy — I bring it all to You. I will not fix my eyes on the darkness. I fix my eyes on You. "Be subject therefore to God, but resist the devil, and he will fly from you." — James 4:7 (Douay-Rheims) FIRST, I SUBMIT TO GOD: Father, I bow before You and acknowledge Your lordship over my whole life. I am sorry for my sins; forgive me, cleanse me, and draw me back fully to Yourself. If I am conscious of grave sin, lead me to the Sacrament of Reconciliation, where You restore Your grace; and by the merits of the Precious Blood of Your Son, wash me and heal in me what sin has wounded. I RENOUNCE SIN AND TURN BACK TO YOU: In the strength of my Baptism, I renounce Satan, all his works, and all his empty promises. I refuse to let fear rule me; I refuse to give in to despair; I reject the lie that I am abandoned. I turn my whole heart back to You. I belong to Christ, who bought me at the price of the Cross, and to Him I entrust my mind, my body, my family, my home, and all that is to come. LORD, ANSWER WITH YOUR GRACE: Where there is confusion, Father, send Your clarity. Where there is division, pour out Your peace. When fear rises, fill me with the calm of Your presence. When I am tempted, strengthen me with Your grace. When discouragement weighs on me, lift me with Your hope. And if any evil presses upon me, drive it far from me, O Lord, according to Your holy will, and let Your light scatter every darkness. I CALL ON HEAVEN'S HELP: Saint Michael the Archangel, defend me in battle; by the power of God, guard me against the wickedness and snares of the devil. Blessed Mother, by your prayers shelter me and lead me to your Son. Holy Guardian Angel, keep watch at my side. Pray for me, all of you, that the God of peace would guard me this hour. And Lord, remind me: the victory was won at the Cross and sealed in Your rising. I do not fight alone, and I do not fight for victory — I shelter in Yours. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
