Bedtime Offering

Lord, before I close my eyes, I want to offer You something — the simplest, most vulnerable gift I have: my sleep. "It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil, for he gives sleep to his loved ones." — Psalm 127:2 Sleep is a gift from You, Lord. Not a waste of time, not a sign of weakness, but a daily reminder that I am not God — that the world continues to spin even when I stop working. That You do not need my permission to keep things running. I OFFER YOU MY REST: Let my sleep itself be an act of worship. An act of trust. A prayer without words that says: "Lord, I trust You enough to close my eyes and stop trying to control everything." I OFFER YOU THIS DAY: The good I did today — receive it, Lord. The prayers I prayed, the kindness I showed, the work I completed. I offer it all to You. Not because it was perfect, but because it was offered with love. I also offer You my failures. The sharp word I spoke. The patience I lost. The prayer I skipped. The moment I chose comfort over courage. Lord, forgive me. I receive Your mercy. I OFFER YOU MY GRATITUDE: Thank You for today. For breath. For food. For shelter. For the people who love me and the people I love. For the ordinary moments that I so easily overlook — a warm meal, a kind word, a sunset, a child's laughter. I OFFER YOU TOMORROW: I do not know what tomorrow holds, but I place it in Your hands tonight. Before it arrives, I surrender it. Before its worries find me, I give them to You. Lord, receive my sleep as a humble offering. Let it be pleasing to You. And let me wake refreshed, grateful, and ready to serve. Goodnight, Father. Amen.
