Dreaming in God's Presence

Lord, as I prepare to enter the world of dreams, I invite You into that space — the space where my conscious mind rests and my subconscious mind opens.

"And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions." — Joel 2:28

Throughout Scripture, You spoke to Your people in dreams. You showed Jacob a ladder to heaven. You warned Joseph to flee to Egypt. You revealed Pharaoh's future through symbols and visions. You gave Daniel understanding of kingdoms and ages.

Lord, I believe You still speak in dreams.

I GIVE YOU PERMISSION:

Enter my dream life, Holy Spirit. Take control of that mysterious realm where images and emotions flow freely. If there is something You want to show me — a truth, a direction, a warning, a comfort — I am open. I want to receive what You have.

I CLOSE THE DOOR TO THE ENEMY:

Lord Jesus, turn away every nightmare, every confusion, and every terror; let none of them enter my dreams tonight. The dream realm is consecrated to the Holy Spirit. Only what God permits will enter.

I SURRENDER MY SUBCONSCIOUS:

Lord, there are things buried deep within me — memories, fears, hopes, desires — that I cannot access during waking hours. But You see them. You know every hidden corner of my soul. As I sleep, minister to those deep places. Heal what needs healing. Free what needs freeing. Speak truth to the parts of me that still believe lies.

Lord of the night, Lord of the dream, Lord of the deep — I trust You with my sleeping hours.
