Morning Offering to the Sacred Heart

O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world. "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercy of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing unto God, your reasonable service." — Romans 12:1 Lord, this is the Morning Offering — one of the oldest and most powerful prayers in the Catholic tradition. For centuries, believers have begun their day by placing everything in Your hands. I join that tradition now. I OFFER MY PRAYERS: Every prayer I will pray today — the structured ones and the spontaneous ones, the words I speak and the silent sighs of my heart — I offer them to You for the intentions of the Church, for the Holy Father, and for all who are in need. I OFFER MY WORKS: The job I go to. The dishes I wash. The emails I answer. The children I care for. The errands I run. Lord, none of it is too small to be sacred when offered to You. Let my work today be worship. I OFFER MY JOYS: The moments of laughter, of beauty, of connection. The cup of coffee that tastes perfect. The song that lifts my spirit. The kind word that brightens my day. I do not hoard these joys — I offer them back to You with gratitude. I OFFER MY SUFFERINGS: Whatever pain, frustration, inconvenience, or hardship I encounter today — I unite it with Your suffering on the Cross. Not because suffering is good, but because You can transform it into something redemptive when I place it in Your hands. Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in You. Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us. Let this day be a living offering, pleasing to God. Amen.
