In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Day Three. Tonight we ask Saint Michael for guidance.
The Letter to the Hebrews, chapter one, asks, Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation? They are sent. They serve. They guide.
Saint Michael, you are the prince of the heavenly hosts. You command countless angels who are sent to walk beside us. Tonight I ask you to send the right guidance into my life.
I have decisions to make. You know them. Some are big, like a job change, a move, a relationship. Some are small, like how to handle a difficult conversation tomorrow. I do not always know what is best.
Send me wisdom, Saint Michael. From the Holy Spirit, the source of all wisdom. From wise people You place in my path. From the Word of God I will read tomorrow. From the quiet prompting that I have learned to recognize as Yours.
Help me know when to act and when to wait. When to speak and when to be silent. When to stay and when to move. When to fight and when to surrender. There is wisdom in knowing the difference, and I do not always have it.
Help me see the schemes of the enemy in my life. The places where I am being subtly led astray, where the influence is so gradual I have not noticed. Open my eyes. Let me see the lies for what they are.
Help me see the will of God in my life. Not in dramatic visions, but in the steady illumination of conscience. Let me sense Your peace where God is, and Your discomfort where He is not.
Help me see the people God is putting in my path. The strangers who turn out to be angels. The interruptions that turn out to be invitations. The detours that turn out to be the way.
Saint Michael, I dedicate my discernment to you. Take what I think I know and refine it in the light of God's truth. Take what I do not yet know and lead me, step by step, into the path of life.
I pray the Saint Michael prayer. Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan, and all the evil spirits, who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
My intentions for guidance tonight. (Pause and name them in your heart.)
Day Four tomorrow.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
