Lord God of Hosts, the God of David who faced Goliath, the God of Daniel in the lion's den, the God of Esther who risked her life for her people — I ask You for courage.
I confess that I am afraid. Fear has taken hold of my heart, and it is paralyzing me. I am afraid of what lies ahead. I am afraid of failure. I am afraid of what others will think. I am afraid of the unknown.
But Your Word says: "Haven’t I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." — Joshua 1:9
Lord, I receive that command. Not as a suggestion, but as a promise — You WILL be with me.
Take this fear from me. Replace it with holy boldness. Let me face what I must face with the confidence that comes from knowing You go before me and stand behind me.
Give me the courage to:
• Speak truth when silence would be easier
• Stand firm when the world pressures me to compromise
• Step forward in faith when I cannot see the path
• Trust Your plan when it makes no sense to my human mind
Saint Michael, defender of God's people, pray for me. Guardian Angel, strengthen my resolve. Holy Spirit, fill me with power from on high.
I will not be afraid. The Lord is my light and my salvation — whom shall I fear? Amen.
