Identity in Christ

Lord God, in a world that constantly tells me who I should be, I declare today who I truly am — not by the world's standards, but by Yours.

I AM A CHILD OF GOD:

"But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God’s children, to those who believe in his name." — John 1:12

I AM A NEW CREATION:

"If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: the old has gone, the new is here!" — 2 Corinthians 5:17

I AM CHOSEN:

"You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession." — 1 Peter 2:9

I AM FORGIVEN:

"As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us." — Psalm 103:12

I AM NOT CONDEMNED:

"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit." — Romans 8:1

I AM LOVED:

"For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor might, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." — Romans 8:38-39

Lord, I reject every false identity the enemy has tried to give me. I am not my mistakes. I am not my failures. I am not my past. I am not my diagnosis. I am not what others have called me.

I am Yours. Named by You. Known by You. Loved by You. And that is enough.
