Prayer for Direction

Lord, I stand at a crossroads and I do not know which way to turn. The path ahead is unclear, and I am afraid of making the wrong choice. I need Your guidance. You promise in Your Word: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." — Proverbs 3:5-6 Lord, I submit this decision to You. I surrender my own plans, my own preferences, and my own timelines. I want Your will, not mine. OPEN MY EARS to hear Your voice above the noise of the world and the opinions of others. Speak clearly, Lord, and give me the grace to recognize Your voice. OPEN MY EYES to see the doors You are opening and the doors You are closing. Help me to stop forcing doors that You have shut. OPEN MY HEART to accept Your answer, even if it is not what I wanted or expected. Your ways are higher than my ways, and Your thoughts higher than my thoughts. Holy Spirit, be my Counselor. Lead me into all truth. Guard me from deception — both from the enemy and from my own desires. I will wait for You, Lord. I will not rush ahead. I will not lag behind. I will walk in step with You, one faithful step at a time. "When you turn to the right hand or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, 'This is the way.
