Protection at Work

Lord, as I enter my workplace today, I bring Your presence with me. I may not be able to pray aloud or carry a crucifix on my desk, but I carry You in my heart — and that is more powerful than anything visible. "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." — Colossians 3:23-24 LORD, PROTECT ME FROM WORKPLACE TOXICITY: Guard me from gossip — let me not participate in it, and let it not wound me. Shield me from office politics that compromise integrity. Protect me from colleagues who would undermine me or claim credit for my work. Give me wisdom to navigate these situations with grace and strength. LORD, PROTECT MY INTEGRITY: If I am pressured to compromise my values — to lie, to cut corners, to participate in something dishonest — give me the courage to refuse. Let me be known as someone who does what is right even when it costs me. LORD, PROTECT MY CALLING: Whether this job is my life's calling or simply a season, let it serve Your purpose. Use me here. Let my work be excellent because I do it for You. If You have something else for me, open that door in Your time. LORD, PROTECT MY RELATIONSHIPS AT WORK: Help me to love difficult people. Help me to see the image of God in every colleague, every client, every person I encounter. If there is someone who is suffering silently, let me be Your instrument of compassion. LORD, PROTECT MY BOUNDARIES: Do not let work consume me. Protect my family time, my prayer time, and my rest. Remind me that my identity is in You, not in my job title, my salary, or my productivity. Saint Joseph, patron of workers, pray for me. Holy Spirit, be my counselor in every decision. Guardian Angel, accompany me through this workday. In Jesus' name. Amen.
