Strength for the Overwhelmed

Lord, I am looking at today and I feel overwhelmed. The list is too long. The expectations are too high. The energy is too low. I do not know how I am going to get through this. "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." — Isaiah 41:10 Lord, I receive these words this morning — not as a nice sentiment, but as a promise from the God who cannot lie. YOU WILL STRENGTHEN ME: When my strength runs out — and it will, probably before lunch — Yours will sustain me. Your strength does not have a battery that drains. It is infinite. Inexhaustible. And You offer it freely to those who ask. YOU WILL HELP ME: I do not have to do this alone. I am not meant to do this alone. You are not a spectator watching me struggle. You are a participant, working alongside me, clearing the path, carrying what I cannot. YOU WILL UPHOLD ME: Even if I stumble today. Even if I drop a ball. Even if I fail at something I was supposed to succeed at. You will catch me. Your righteous right hand — the hand that parted seas and raised the dead — holds me up. LORD, HELP ME PRIORITIZE: I cannot do everything today. Help me discern what truly needs to be done and what can wait. Help me say no to the things that are not mine to carry. Help me focus on what matters most and release the rest without guilt. LORD, HELP ME TAKE ONE STEP AT A TIME: I do not need to see the whole staircase. I just need to take the next step. And then the next. And then the next. With You beside me, one step at a time is enough. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Today, "all things" means getting through this day with grace. And that is enough. In Jesus' name. Amen.
