Under His Wings

Heavenly Father, I come to You tonight not as a warrior but as a child — tired, vulnerable, and in need of Your embrace.

"Keep me as the apple of your eye. Hide me under the shadow of your wings." — Psalm 17:8

Lord, the world is loud and harsh. There are threats I can see and dangers I cannot. There are people who wish me harm and forces I do not fully understand. But underneath it all, You are there — steady, strong, and endlessly faithful.

I picture myself right now, Lord, sheltered under Your wings. Not the wings of a fragile bird, but the wings of the Almighty — vast enough to cover the universe, gentle enough to shelter one trembling soul.

HERE, UNDER YOUR WINGS:

I am safe from the storms that rage outside. The winds may howl, the waves may crash, but here, in Your presence, there is a stillness that nothing can disturb.

HERE, UNDER YOUR WINGS:

I release my need to protect myself. I have been carrying this weight — the constant vigilance, the anxiety of watching for threats, the exhaustion of trying to be my own shield. Lord, I lay that burden down. It was never mine to carry.

HERE, UNDER YOUR WINGS:

I am known and I am loved. Not for what I do or what I accomplish, but simply because I am Yours. You created me. You redeemed me. You chose me. And You will not let me fall.

"He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart." — Psalm 91:4

Father, tonight I rest in You. Not because I have figured everything out, but because I trust the One who holds everything together. Keep me as the apple of Your eye. Let me sleep in the shadow of Your wings.
