GUIDED INNER HEALING JOURNEY
A Guided Prayer for Deep Emotional and Spiritual Healing
This guided prayer is based on the inner healing methodology practiced in Catholic healing ministry. It invites Jesus into the wounded places of your heart and memory, allowing Him to heal what only He can heal.
IMPORTANT: This is a prayer, not therapy. If you are dealing with severe trauma, please also seek the help of a qualified counselor or therapist. God works through many channels.
Let us begin.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Come, Holy Spirit. Fill me with Your presence. Open the doors of my heart that I have kept locked. Go to the places I am afraid to visit. Heal what I cannot heal on my own. I give You permission to do whatever You need to do in me today.
Jesus, I trust You. I trust that You are gentle. I trust that You will not force anything. I trust that Your healing comes with love, not with more pain.
[Pause. Take three deep breaths. Release tension from your body.]

PART 1: SAFE PLACE WITH JESUS
═══════════════════════════════════════
Before we go to the wounded places, let us first establish a place of safety.
Close your eyes. In your imagination, picture a place where you feel completely safe. It might be a quiet garden, a peaceful beach, a sunlit forest clearing, a warm room by a fire, or a chapel flooded with candlelight. There is no wrong answer. Let the Holy Spirit guide your imagination.
[Pause. Let the scene form.]
Now, see Jesus enter this place. He walks toward you with a gentle smile. There is no judgment in His eyes — only love. Deep, fierce, personal love. He sits down beside you.
He says: "I'm glad you're here. I've been waiting for this."
[Pause.]
Rest here for a moment. You are safe. Jesus is with you. Nothing can harm you in this place. This is where we will return if anything becomes too much.
[Pause.]

PART 2: INVITATION TO HEAL
═══════════════════════════════════════
Lord Jesus, I invite You into my story. Every chapter — even the ones I've never told anyone. Even the ones I've tried to forget.
You were there. You saw everything. Every moment of my life, You were present. You saw the moments of joy, and You rejoiced with me. You saw the moments of pain, and You wept with me. You saw the moments of sin, and You loved me still.
I know this because Your Word says: "Before I formed thee in the bowels of thy mother, I knew thee: and before thou camest forth out of the womb, I sanctified thee, and made thee a prophet unto the nations." — Jeremiah 1:5. You have known me from the beginning.
Lord, I ask You now: show me what You want to heal today. I do not need to revisit every wound in one session. Just one. The one You choose. The one that is ready.
[Long pause. Wait. Allow a memory, a feeling, or an image to surface. Do not force it. If nothing comes, that is okay — simply rest in His presence.]

PART 3: THE WOUNDED MEMORY
═══════════════════════════════════════
If a memory has surfaced, stay with it gently. Do not relive it — simply observe it, as if watching from a distance. You are safe. Jesus is with you.
Now, invite Jesus into that memory. See Him there. Where is He? What is He doing?
[Pause.]
Often, people see Jesus standing between them and the source of their pain. Or kneeling beside them. Or weeping with them. Or shielding them. Let Him show you where He was.
Lord Jesus, I ask You to speak truth over this memory.
Where the enemy has told me: "You deserved this" — Lord, speak Your truth.
[Pause.]
Where the enemy has told me: "You are damaged beyond repair" — Lord, speak Your truth.
[Pause.]
Where the enemy has told me: "No one will ever truly love you" — Lord, speak Your truth.
[Pause.]
Where the enemy has told me: "God was not there. God did not care." — Lord, speak Your truth.
[Long pause. Listen for what Jesus says. It may come as a thought, a feeling, a Scripture verse, or simply a deep sense of peace.]
"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." — Psalm 147:3
Lord, bind up this wound now. Not by erasing the memory, but by removing its sting. Let me remember without being destroyed. Let me recall without reliving the pain. Replace the lie with Your truth. Replace the wound with Your love.
[Pause.]
═══════════════════════════════════════
PART 4: FORGIVENESS
═══════════════════════════════════════
Healing and forgiveness are inseparable. Unforgiveness is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die. It keeps the wound open. It gives the enemy a legal right to torment you. Unforgiveness is one of the primary doorways for demonic oppression.
Lord, is there someone I need to forgive in connection with this wound?
[Pause. A name or a face may come to mind.]
This is hard, Lord. You know how much this person hurt me. But I choose — not by my strength, but by Your grace — to forgive them.
I forgive [name or person] for [what they did]. I release them from the debt I feel they owe me. I do not condone what they did. I do not pretend it didn't hurt. But I refuse to carry this bitterness any longer. I hand them over to You, Lord. You are the just Judge. You will make all things right.
[Pause.]
Lord, I also need to forgive myself. For the shame I have carried. For the ways I have punished myself. For believing I was beyond redemption. I forgive myself, because You have already forgiven me.
[Pause.]
═══════════════════════════════════════
PART 5: RENUNCIATION AND SEALING
═══════════════════════════════════════
In the name of Jesus Christ, I renounce every lie the enemy has planted in this wound. Every false belief about myself, about God, and about others that grew from this pain — I reject it now.
I renounce the spirit of rejection. I renounce the spirit of shame. I renounce the spirit of fear. I renounce the spirit of bitterness. I renounce every demonic attachment that has fed on this wound.
By the Blood of Jesus Christ, Lord, drive out every unclean spirit that has used this wound as a foothold. It has no right to me. I belong to Jesus Christ. This wound is being healed, and by Your power its access is revoked.
Lord Jesus, seal this healing with Your Precious Blood. Where there was an open wound, place Your healing hand. Where there was a door to the enemy, place Your Cross. Let no evil re-enter this place.
[Pause.]
═══════════════════════════════════════
PART 6: RECEIVING NEW IDENTITY
═══════════════════════════════════════
Lord, now that You have removed the lie, plant Your truth in its place.
Tell me who I am, Lord.
[Pause. Listen.]
"You are My beloved child, in whom I am well pleased."
"You are chosen. You are wanted. You are not a mistake."
"You are not what happened to you. You are not what they said about you. You are who I say you are."
"And now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and formed thee, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed thee, and called thee by thy name: thou art mine." — Isaiah 43:1
Lord, I receive this truth. Write it on my heart. Let it become the foundation of my identity. Not what the world says. Not what the enemy whispers. What You declare.
[Pause.]

CLOSING
═══════════════════════════════════════
Return now to your safe place with Jesus. See Him smiling at you. He is proud of you for having the courage to come here. Healing is not easy. But you showed up. And He met you.
Lord, thank You for this time. Thank You for being gentle with me. Thank You for healing what I could not heal on my own. Continue this work in me, even after this prayer ends. Meet me in my dreams tonight. Meet me in my thoughts tomorrow. Keep healing me, layer by layer, until I am whole.
I place myself under the protection of the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ. I ask the Blessed Mother to wrap me in her mantle. I ask Saint Michael to stand guard over me. I ask my Guardian Angel to stay close.
"Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." — Philippians 1:6
The healing has begun. Trust the process. Trust the Healer.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
