Morning Gratitude Awakening

Lord, I woke up today. That alone is worth celebrating. "This is the day that the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it!" — Psalm 118:24 Before I look at my phone, before I check my problems, before I review my obligations — I want to start with thanks. Because gratitude changes the lens through which I see everything else. THANK YOU FOR MY BODY: Lord, it is imperfect. It aches in places. It does not look like I wish it did. But it is alive. My heart is beating. My lungs are breathing. My eyes can see the morning light. This body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and today I honor it. THANK YOU FOR THIS BED: Millions of people slept on the ground last night. Millions slept in shelters, in cars, in danger. I slept in a bed, in safety, under a roof. Lord, I do not take this for granted. THANK YOU FOR THE PEOPLE IN MY LIFE: The ones who love me imperfectly but genuinely. The ones who show up. The ones who pray for me when I do not even know it. Lord, every good relationship is a gift from You. THANK YOU FOR YESTERDAY'S GRACE: I made it through yesterday. Not because I was strong enough, but because Your grace was sufficient. The challenges that felt impossible yesterday — You carried me through. I am still here. THANK YOU FOR TODAY'S POSSIBILITIES: Lord, today is unwritten. A blank page. And while I do not know what will fill it, I know that Your mercies are new this morning — fresh, abundant, and perfectly calibrated for whatever I will face. THANK YOU FOR WHAT I CANNOT SEE: The prayers being answered behind the scenes. The doors being opened that I do not yet know about. The protection You are providing against threats I will never be aware of. Thank You for working even when I cannot see it. Lord, let this gratitude carry me through the entire day. When things get hard — and they might — bring me back to this moment. This morning. This prayer. This truth: I am blessed. In Jesus' name. Amen.
