Prayer for Salvation

Lord Jesus Christ, I come before You just as I am — a sinner in need of a Savior. I have tried to live life on my own terms, and I have failed. I have tried to fill the emptiness inside me with everything except You, and nothing has worked. Today, I make a choice. I choose You. I BELIEVE that You are the Son of God, that You came to earth in human flesh, that You lived a perfect life, that You died on the Cross for my sins, and that You rose again on the third day. I CONFESS that I am a sinner. I have fallen short of Your glory in more ways than I can count. I cannot save myself. I need Your mercy. I REPENT. I turn away from my old life and turn toward You. I renounce every sin, every idol, and every master that is not You. From this day forward, You are my Lord. I RECEIVE Your gift of salvation. Not because I deserve it — I never could — but because You freely offer it to all who call upon Your name. "For if thou confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thy heart that God hath raised him up from the dead, thou shalt be saved." — Romans 10:9 Lord Jesus, come into my heart. Come into my life. Forgive my sins. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Write my name in the Book of Life. Make me a new creation. I am Yours. Now and forever. Amen.
